Jack Be Nimble jumping for some cotton from a Cottonwood Tree. Up until last week when the whenever the wind would pick up there was cotton flying through the air. I liked it.
My sister in law Phyllis, sent this one from Alabama. This is Big Mama (my mother-in-law) reading the blog down by the river by the wood pile (the only place she could pick up a wireless signal).
We have a new truck! And you know what the best part is?? Besides not having to share trucks anymore? It has a remote control crank-er! Fancy huh? Really I was shocked when Chuck proudly showed off his new remote crank-er since the truck is an older model Ford with several thousands of miles under its belts. He thought I may be tempted to trade trucks with him because of it but I told him I already have a remote control cranking mechanism. It’s called a Chuck2000.

Beautiful sky...but you might want to reconsider trading trucks when winter hits.
ReplyDeleteNiiiice!
ReplyDeleteHa - glad our blog reading made the blog:-) I told Munner that you posted the pic on the blog, and she was glad too. After I said it,I thought OOPS (now I have done it, there is a picture of Laura on the internet, the devil's playground, the evil machine, etc) I thought she may be mad because there was a delayed in her response - but she was good with it and glad to be a part of it. I think she just did not understand what I was saying about the blog, and maybe she did not understand how it got on the blog so quickly... Oh, and the truck looks really nice, good job! Chuck said you got a great deal on it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your truck! (and the photos are beautiful!)
ReplyDeleteThank you Katie.
ReplyDeleteThanks everybody! Sorry I am going backwards and didn't realize there were more comments.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I can't believe that's midnight in that first pic. Isn't that strange? Is it creepy? Or totally awesome. I don't know. Secondly, I've never seen a cottonwood tree, but I know I pick up cotton from my living room floor because Jessie (the min pin doggie for those people who don't know her) likes to beat the crap out of Coge's Curious George monkey on a daily basis. If I could look at the cotton as a thing of beauty as the Alaskan people do (haha), maybe that's a small piece of my sanity I could reclaim. Thirdly, that's a very cute pic of Big Mama and 'dem down by the river. Very sweet that she sat out there for 3 hours reading your blog. Fourthly, I LOVE your new truck. I would like one of those, but here in LA, it wouldn't make much sense... but I at least had to get a small SUV (you've seen it) because to me, it's insane to not have at least one vehicle with a flatbed on it somewhere. Seriously. I'll just ride in yours when we come visit. Well, Ethan's got the hiccups, so I gotta go.
ReplyDeleteHey I got an idea Sister! Take the monkey AWAY from that crazy dog of yours! Thanks for your devotion to my blog. I am sure Ethan appreciates your devotion to his hiccups as well.
