When Rainbow Sherbet started prematurely loosing the glitter from her shoes, I revisited a link jammed into my bookmarked files list and got out the supplies.
All I needed was Mod Podge and glitter in order to get a few more miles out of these flats.
So simple.
So many dollars saved.
So Jessica Simpson shoulda done it right the first time.

They are Adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteSmart Crafty Girl!!
I feel responsible that these shoes have already lost their glitter, and you had to go and re-glitter-fy them, and now you're going to have pieces of glitter on your cheek that you can't scrape off without scraping off your makeup for the next 18 months all because we picked out these shoes for her. DANGIT. I thought we got the best ones, but that Jessica Simpson messed it all up for us.
ReplyDeleteBut good job on makin 'em purty again, sister. I'm sure that made Rainbow Sherbet very happy. Sweet lil sweet lil princess face.
No sister. She got a lot of use out of them and she was really rough on them too. I caught her scraping her toes across the pavement on the way to the car.
ReplyDeleteAnd actually no, she didn't like them after I got finished. She said they were TOO glittery and they looked brownish. And they kinda did. I think it was because the glitter was vintage. Whatevs. I like them. Although, they are starting to peel. Super successful project right? The kid doesn't like them and they are peeling. Wow. I just really went on and on until I am feeling pretty down about myself.
And Kate, for the record, I did not add the strap. Jessica must have done that.
