Bo wanted to be Elsa for Halloween. I'm not one to go out a buy a costume.
I guess I don't see the need to make things easy for myself. :)
Really and truly, I love putting costumes together for my kids. It's a challenge I enjoy.
I bought some blue fabric that wouldn't fray and a strip of shiny blue fabric to use as a belt
(and also to keep the whole thing together). I cut two diamond shapes, sewed them together at each shoulder, and put a couple of stitches in at the breast and back. That was the hardest part because I couldn't find the right needle/thread combination to make it work! My machine kept skipping stitches and it was maddening.
I knew Bo wouldn't be happy if she couldn't make it spin...
This is beautiful Hayley. I don't know how you do it. Bo is just precious in it. Little princess.
ReplyDeleteWOW you did so good with this!! It looks very authentic. Waaayyyy prettier than those cheap looking ones at the Halloween store.
ReplyDeleteMy beautiful little princess. Came here looking for new pics to no avail. :(
