Published!

I am on cloud 9 right now. I just received a copy of a magazine published by the NAEYC with one of my photographs inside! 

My photographs have been published in several regional and national publications, but somehow in my mind, those didn't count so much. Those photos accompanied Chuck's articles. And while that was and still is a very big deal to me, that was his thing. The paychecks always had his name on them. And now that I am writing this and thinking it through, I'm wondering why I ever discounted it at all. I mean, I have a really cool husband, who is intelligent enough to write articles for magazines, and I have the opportunity to publish my photos alongside his articles. I mean how great is that? Very.

But so is this.....

My hope is that this is only the beginning and that through this publication, more doors will open. 

The photograph is from a time when I took a plastic swimming pool, filled it with dirt, and added water. It was a very fun summer.
