My baby, my sweet precious baby, recently started school.
She’s growing up.
It hit me one day when I was alone in the checkout aisle at Wal-mart.
I really miss her.
She’s been my constant companion for 6 years.
But, time marches on...
We're adjusting to the change.
I'm glad she's in a good school and has a great teacher.
She brings home papers with "above average" marks,
and her favorite time of day is recess.
She makes friends easily and tries to be a friend to those who don't.
I raised that girl right.
I mean, we, we raised that girl right.

ReplyDeletethey grow up so fast....I have 4 kids and my baby is 17 years old and a senior in high school.
Oh I'm so glad to finally get to see pictures on your blog again. Especially these! My baby looks precious in her little school outfit and backpack. She looks happy and proud of herself. I'm proud that she has had 6 wonderful years with the best mom ever!! I truly mean that Hayley. I'm so proud of you.
ReplyDeleteShe is so smart and sweet Hayley! She's going to do awesome in school. I bet you miss her so much, but in time you will probably come to enjoy a little time to yourself again. You deserve a little break. Do something for yourself sometime in the next week or two! You have worked hard raising an awesome little girl! Love you!
ReplyDeleteBig girl indeed!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so sweet in these, and I love the sign you made. I'm glad she is doing so well, (although I agree, the change must be a huge adjustment) Pat yourself on the back, because you deserve it. You're doing a great job. :)
She is SO CUTE. I miss her lots. I really, really do.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't imagine her not making friends easily....it's just her personality makeup. A quality that I hope she will continue to carry. She's going to be one of those adults (one day....a very long time from now) that won't be able to go anywhere without running into someone she knows. You both did a fantastic job raising such a wonderful kid. Now Momma, do take some of that time while she is in school for you. Relax, read a book, go for your runs, take time out to refresh and destress yourself from the move and life in general. blessings.
