NOT to be confused with a Mexican Movie Night
Those are two different nights.
Mexican and a Movie Night consists of Dressing Up...
(which proved to be kinda tricky for Chuck)
He opted to go with a colorful towel slung around his shoulders.
Sacajawea didn't have any trouble at all finding something to wear...
I didn't have the heart to tell her she looked like an Indian Cowgirl.
A scandalous one at that.
Mexican Food is involved...
In a Mexican setting...
Ok, it's sorta Mexi/Japanese.
Who needs a table?
We LOVE sitting on the floor.
(That was written in totally sarcastic font.)
And we followed it all up with this...
I am going to go ahead and NOT recommend this movie.
Though, Sacajawea would disagree.
Chuck and I usually wrap the night up with our own movie after putting the kid to bed.
The point of this post is, that Sacajawea likes structure.
I like it too.
Sacajawea likes it when we slap a name on any kind of family activity I can think of
and make a date out of it.
Before we decided to put ourselves in an "adventurous" tailspin, family date nights were something we used to do on a regular basis. I am trying to get back into the swing of things, so hopefully there will be more posts like these in the future.

Oh goody! I've been riding bikes and I came home to find another blog post. This is so cute. I love her little Mexican Indian Cowgirl outfit and I love the fact that she likes structure and that you try to put names on these fun fun family nights. You and Chuck are such great parents. LU all.
ReplyDeleteStill no new haircut post though. It's going to be long again before I get to see it. That one you sent me doesn't really count since it wasn't a close up.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun!! and the dinner looked Yummy!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great! If I ever have a lil baby, I will have learned a lot from you, sisser. I appreciate the parenting lessons.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that movie looks horrible.
