While I was singing a church hymn a cappella in the truck, Princess Pea says, “Oh Lord, please help me, oh Lord, help me. Help me Lord, even though Ma is singing a Lord song.”
I am not so sweet in the mornings… No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to revert to the - up with a smile and into the great outdoors before 7:00 a.m. - days of my youth. Rainbow Bright has noticed. When I rolled over and found Rainbow Bright there in the camper sleeping space with me and began to insist (as usual) that she find a way shut her little eyes and go back to sleep. Rainbow Bright reached for her Daddy who was leaving us for work and said, “Oh Daddy, I just can’t deal with this mean ‘ol Mama this morning.”
And a good one from me….While Chuck was sweetly admiring my hand and the rings they hold: I said, “These rings feel so strange on my finger…… I mean, I haven’t worn them for 2 ½ months.” Heh heh.
Also....at first I was frustrated with Charley because she insists her lamp be left on when she is going to sleep. It isn’t logical. When she goes to bed (anywhere between 8 and 10) her room is very well lit from the light of the sun. It remains that way throughout most of the night. Then, I realized life would be much simpler if I didn’t choose this senseless battle. This is a shot of her sleeping with the lamp on at 10:00 p.m.

HOOTS
As I am typing at 10:40 p.m. I can hear the neighbor kids (ages 3 and 5) and their bikes' wheels as they play in the street.

Oh - Cahrley looks so sweet! As I have told you before, Jordan would never EVER EVER go to sleep like this - we would be covering our windows with something black (probably several things so that no light could come in:-) Good for Charley to be so flexible with her sleep - that is a good trait to learn! The pics look good!
ReplyDeleteWow, I forget that it stays light so late up North! Cute little sleeping angel you have:)
ReplyDeleteThanks ya'll.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of it like that Phyllis. I guess it is a good trait to learn.
I miss my precious baby. Thanks for the pics and the blog. Good job on the dinner party. Looks like Courtney is a good influence on you. Courtney it's not really her fault that she doesn't cook much. You see she didn't call her mom for thoughts on dinner.
ReplyDeleteI did call you too! You just didn't answer!
ReplyDeleteHayley - you should know I think it is a good trait to learn with the way I am always tippy toeing around situations about Guy and his sleep:-)
ReplyDeleteWell, at least Charley conks out when she's supposed to, unlike me, the one who refuses to go to bed at a reasonable hour so that I could maybe have a chance at being a semi-decent person tomorrow; I mean today. She looks so cute. I'm glad to see her room. It's very sweet... Pillow Face Barbie is straight up staring her down/watching over her though. I think that's comforting, but I'm not sure. LOVE the Charley quotes. Please keep those comin. My fave.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you sister. I have a real problem going to bed too. You'd NEVER sleep here but in the winter you'd probably hibernate.
ReplyDeleteBarbie scares me a little too.
Shh. Sh. Barbie may be able to hear you.
