Craig has a golf cart.
Sometimes he lets us ride it.
Riding in the golf cart reminds me of the trip we took to Peachtree City, Georgia a couple of years ago. Peachtree City boasts 90 miles of multi-use paths for pedestrians, cyclists, and golf carts. Both residents and visitors can travel from their residence or hotel to shopping centers, schools, parks, and several lakes through wooded paths. We especially loved the tunnel that led safely under a main street and the overpass that allowed safe passage over another. Visitors can rent golf carts at one of many rental locations in the city. Peachtree City, GA should be listed as one of the top 10 family vacation destinations in the South. We have the Georgia Inlaws to thank for our trip.
And let's face it, since I am no longer riding on the back of my boyfriend's motorcycle (I know Chuck is STEWING at the mention of this), or repelling off any cliffs (and this), or bouncing up insanely steep hills in the backseat of a jeep (and this); riding the golf cart helps me feel youthful again, in a safe, family friendly way. Maybe I'm not hanging on for dear life in the passenger seat while Chuck spins 360's in a mud bog, but I can still feel the wind in my hair in the golf cart.
More on our trip around the block in Rainbow City, Alabama (alert the media right?)...
A friendly horse along the way.
Holding On for Bonnie's Dear Life
We are both so afraid she'll fall out.
Now, My Friend rides in the back. He's on his own.
No, really, I take it real easy on the brakes while he is back there.
He is featured here, post rolling in horse poo.
Passing Craig during his bike ride.

Wait, why is Chuck gonna be stewing about all those things? Y'all were the ones climbing the water towers and slingin mud everywhere in his ole Toyota T100.
ReplyDeleteAw, My Friend. Why'd you hafta roll around in horse poo?
Craig looks cute there on his bike. Hey, Craig!
Looks like My Friend got a haircut! :) He looks so handsome. (Funny story, I know another dog named My Friend. She's a goofy chocolate lab)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to ride around on a golf cart! (In Hawaii, they're really big on mopeds. Auntie is convincing me to buy one, thinking it's cheaper then riding the bus, or renting one. I pointed out how much buying a moped costs. and how taking it home would be difficult. ha.)
WHAT? Really Katie? I never would have thought there was another dog named My Friend.
ReplyDeleteSunny he'll be stewing on account of how he wasn't the boy taking me on those particular adventures and that I had the nerve to have them even though we weren't an item at the time.
