Giving in Moderation

And while we're talking about birthdays.....my Dad had one recently.

(I know. I let my original posting plan get all out of whack and my segway is ruined.)

He insisted that we shouldn't buy him anything.

When my Dad says that, I think he actually means it.

In fact, he said, we should ONLY get him a card and that we should make it.

I think it makes him feel funny to take something from someone he spent his whole life worrying about giving to. Not to say I don't ever buy him anything, but since he shares his birthday month with Father's Day, I figured it would be best to give in moderation. So, Sugar Muffin and I made a trip to the kitchen instead of the store.

AwwwwwwwwwwWWWWWW!!! Dad is so cute. I miss him. What's up with his Tasmanian Devil t-shirt. That's cute, too. When I talked to him on the phone, he really seemed happy that y'all had done this for him.
