Now our trip home was right miserable.
And I feel a lot of guilt using the word "miserable" because I automatically think of the literal meaning of the word and how it compares to "actual" miseries. Ok. So compared to other more serious miseries this was nothin' ya'll. It was like a cake walk. But. When it comes to the comfortablity factor of riding in a vehicle, MODERN day, it was pretty, dang, miserable.
All 12-18 hours of it.
All 12-18 hours of it.
When My Friend wasn't panting, he spent his time rotating round and round.
(His kennel wouldn't fit in the truck bed.)
Oh and bonus...
Good times
Nevertheless, every time we arrive anywhere in this truck that has been so far,
through such rough terrain, a weight lifts off my shoulders.

I remember such car rides as this.
ReplyDeleteWe used to take road trips from Ohio to NJ all the time to visit our family. All of us kids would be crammed in the back of the car, then twice the trips included our two dogs. (one rottie mix and one lab mix) Happy the lab always just plopped down in the car and enjoyed the ride, but Baby? Circling, painting mess.
A very uncomfortable ride, but riding with y'all made it a worthwhile ride. Awwwwww I'm so sweet, aren't I?
ReplyDeleteI am really glad ya'll were willing to go through so much to get home for Christmas! We appreciate it so much! We also realize how hard it was on all of you, even My Friend:) The pictures are worth 1,000 words, even though you had already told us about how bad the trip was - so, THANKS!!! We are really just so glad ya'll are close enough to drive now, even if it is 12 - 18 hours.
