Our First Virginia Snow

Back in Alaska I told Charley there would

come a day when she longed to see the snow again.

She didn't believe me.

But when the light dusting we got last week
melted away by noon, she mourned its loss.

We're hoping before the winter's over,
we'll get enough so that we can build a good, clean snowman.

I love all your posts but I especially love the ones with my baby's pictures. It' been a while if you'll look at recent posts Hayley. Beautiful pictures. This snow isn't quite as cold as Alaska snow I'll bet.

Yeah I bet she misses that fun, Alaskan powdery-dry snowman. The kind that doesn't rub holes into the back of your snowsuit.
