My Friend is one of our FIVE November birthdays. 

He just would be born in November. Great goin' My Friend. 

Last year we threw him a little shindig, so this year we had to do the same. 

Here's the "how to" run down...

Step ONE

Get some canned dog food and MUSH it up.

Step TWO

Shape it like you want it. 

Charley went with a dog house shape. 

She's had this shape planned since last year. 

Oh and make your husband get involved because he claims not to like this dog, and everybody knows he really does, because we hear him talking sweet to him when we aren't in the room. 

Step THREE

Force the dog to come close to the fire lit candles that he is TERRIFIED of, 

so that you can sing "Happy Birthday."

Step FOUR

Put a hat on him. 

Step FIVE

Mess with him a lot by taking pictures right up in his face while he's eating, rub his mouth while he is eating, and take the plate away for a few minutes while he is eating, so to be sure he's not going to turn on your kid when she inevitably gets up in his face while he's eating.  

I do not recommend getting in a dog's face while they're eating. 

As sweet as our dog is, I continuously condition him for interference while he's eating. 

So, there you have it. Throw your dog a party.
