Rubber Band Art

We started with a simple piece of wood.

I got out the paint and brushes and Charley promptly ran off to play with the neighbor.

STAB to the heart.

I painted the wood. Charley played with her friend.

Later I helped Charley hammer in the nails that were to hold the rubber bands.

Charley kept missing the nails and beating the crap out of the wood.

Then she'd hammer them in all crooked.

It was hysterical.

Don't you just love it when you get to belly laughing with your kids?

Then we added the rubber bands.

It was a simple, fun(ny) project that now hangs in Charley's room.
