When Chuck interviewed for the job in Alaska, I scoured the internet for anything related to Delta Junction. I was desperate to learn about where we were going. So since we're here in Mathews, Virginia, I'm sharing some random photos of the place. It's my contribution to the bank of information on the internet. Your welcome internet. Glad I could help.
Also, this is a good way to clean out my "To Blog" folder.
Pieces of Historic Downtown Mathews
White Dog Inn
The Inn/Restaurant closed down a few months ago, but rumor has it the restaurant portion is reopening under new ownership. Since we've been here we've seen at least three businesses close.
Southwind Pizza....our favorite place to eat.
A common site. I think this is another way of saying private property.
The scene at the end of that private road.
A View of Milford Haven
Work Boat
Buttercups in Spring
Views from the backyard at Kingston Plantation.
Salem Methodist Church
Old white country houses are abundant here....
and are usually caving in on themselves.
Hmmm, let's end this on a happier note shall we?
This concludes your tour of Mathews County.
