This Summer, I hit Pinterest pretty hard. I was determined to be a doer instead of just a pinner.
For sources, click the images labeled "Theirs" or "Martha's".
I thought this Painter's Tape Art turned out pretty great.

On the other hand, the Sharpie Marker Stained Glass....
Theirs Ours
Not so stained glassy.
We also had a hard time recreating a Sharpie/Alcohol Shirt Design Method.
Charley was SO not into it.
The comparison here is pretty funny (IF you are into laughing at children and their mama's).
Theirs Ours
Yeah, we basically ruined a perfectly good white tank top.
I think we can all agree that this idea looks pretty awesome...
Theirs
Now, let me show you OUR reality.
It's crap I tell you. Crap. Wouldn't shoot the eye out of the Pillsbury Doughboy.
On the bright side, Martha really pulled through with her suggestion for Noodle/Bone Art.

And for the grand finale, I present to you Rubber Cement/Watercolor Art!
Theirs
Charley's!
This was pretty cool. Charley enjoyed it a lot.
After you drip rubber cement onto your paper in random patterns and let it dry, use watercolors to paint the entire sheet. Charley opted to go with one color. Then after it dries, rub the rubber cement off with your finger, or use two fingers, or more if you like. You are so welcome. Then, use a sharpie marker to outline all the voids your rubber cement left. I knew that'd be a pretty time consuming process that Charley was either going to vehemently object to or mindlessly delve into.
She opted to mindlessly delve.
Victory!
Thanks for linking to my watercolor tutorial! Yours turned out great!
