Charley as a Witchy Woman
I went to A LOT of trouble to get her that hat on the day of Halloween and what did she do?
Immediately, upon arrival at the trick or treating location she took it off. Didn't wear it.
I also bought her a broom she swore she'd use. Didn't use it.
I bought a vampire-ish hat. Wore it to school on hat day, a boy stepped on it and broke it.
Offered to fix it for Halloween. She wasn't interested.

A skeleton necklace. Didn't wear it.
A bunch of flowers. Didn't carry them.
Guess what I learned this Halloween?
Bo was Charley's black cat.
It's tradition.
As a baby I was a black cat.
As a baby Charley was a black cat.
And now it's Bo's turn to be a black cat.
Charley and I were younger baby cats so our ears were taped on.
Since Bo's hair is a little too thick for taped on ears and a little too thin for barrett attached ears, I just made her a hat. Yes, maybe the ears are a little alien due to their proximity to each other, but I like them. I think they're cute. Other people might have thought them weirdly funny.
I made the ears and tail from a pair of Charley's tights.
Bo started out with whiskers,
but then I walked away for a minute.
And guess who else it not ready for makeup?
Charley. It's Charley.
Each Halloween she wears mascara and each Halloween she reminds me she's just a wee babe when the tears roll and the mascara covers her round cheeks.
How precious!! Where did you find those pics of you?? What other pics do you have stashed I haven't seen in years? So it looks like Bo is about 4 months older at Halloween than you were right? You were so cute. Great job on the costumes. They are great.
ReplyDeleteHey. I have a small box full of older pictures. I don't know how i ended up with them but they are well taken care of. I should have showed you when you were here. Yes I guess 4 months is right. I had forgotten that I was Sunny's cat. That was just a coincidence. Ha.
